Sang Buddha

Why do I believe in Buddha?

Tapi kenapa aku masih mau mengikuti ajaranNya?

Who is Buddha?

Who is Buddha?

As mentioned above Buddha can refer to the historical Buddha Shakyamuni or to anyone who has attained full enlightenment. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso explains in Introduction to Buddhism

The Awaken One.

A Buddha is a person who is completely free from all faults and mental obstructions.
In general, ‘Buddha’ means ‘Awakened One’, someone who has awakened from the sleep of ignorance and sees things as they really are. A Buddha is a person who is completely free from all faults and mental obstructions. There are many people who have become Buddhas in the past, and many people will become Buddhas in the future….There is nothing that Buddha does not know. Because he has awakened from the sleep of ignorance and has removed all obstructions from his mind, he knows everything of the past, present, and future, directly and simultaneously. Moreover, Buddha has great compassion which is completely impartial, embracing all living beings without discrimination.

Prinsip Utama Hukum Karma

Prinsip Utama Hukum Karma

In Theravada Buddhism, the Arhat, Arahat or Arahant, translated into Chinese as Lohan, is one who
has followed the Eightfold Path and has achieved deliverance of this earthly existence. He has
reached "the other shore" and is saved for all eternity. In him the asavas - the craving for
sensual pleasures, earthly existence, ignorance and wrong views - are gone. He is subject to
no more rebirths and karma.

Introduction to Buddhism

Introduction to Buddhism
by buddhist-practice-today.blogspot.com/

What is Buddhism?

Buddhism is a religion based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, who lived about 25 centuries ago in what is now Nepal and northeastern India. He came to be called "the Buddha," which means "awakened one," after he experienced a profound realization of the nature of life, death and existence.

Unlike to other religion worshipping god, Buddhism is a bit unique, it does not include the idea of worshipping a creator god but rather on the basic principles of Buddha’s teachings, which are straightforward and practical: nothing is fixed or permanent; actions have consequences; change is possible. It teaches practical methods which enable people to realise and use its teachings in order to transform their experience, to be fully responsible for their lives.
